So a little late with this one but I will make it brief. Chris and Alan came into the CP4 location at a National Trust Roman villa car park at 14:05 and ate a couple of fresh sausage rolls we had bought them.
They then they prepped everything they needed to and got their heads down for a few hours.
They got up at 17:30 and ate some more and got ready to leave. This included the now regular to ritual of me tending to Alan’s feet. They had already taken a beating at hardmoors 110 two weeks before this race so were already a little damaged. I patched them up and we packed Chris his now standard bacon butties with peanut butter as a packed lunch.
It was high fives and handshakes all round then off they went. They have 46 miles to do next but that will get them onto the outskirts of Bristol. That’s a hell of a journey and will be the furthest non stop distance in any UK race at over 270 miles completed. Amazingly it’s not even half way yet!
Lee is still motoring well just under a leg behind and was finding it a bit warm yesterday and took a couple of breaks in the middle of the day and we popped out to see him and check him in the afternoon. He was in good spirits and all was well and he will be arriving at this CP in the next couple of hours. Around 9am Thursday.
A couple of hours kip then he will be off on the next leg as well.
This leg and the next leg are very pretty with chocolate box scenery and villages through the stunning cotswolds.
Amazingly everyone is still moving reasonably well for the distance covered and in great spirits. Chris is still smiling all the way through and photographing everything that moves or sits still. Top work guys.
The crew team are having fun and filling our time with banter and Jokes and generally thinking what names we can call them on the tracker system next.
Thanks for all the support those who have been commenting on social media as they do see them and it gives them a lift.
Till tomorrow………….
Lindley.

Absolute legends!!!! And a massive well done support crew/staff. Keep it up boys!
